The Chernomor tomato is an exquisite look, it differs from the rest in the dark purple or black color of the fruit. Recently, varieties of dark tomatoes were rare, but now they are even found in the garden of an amateur.

It was bred in China, and was brought to Russia at the beginning of 2000. The fruits change color during the entire period of development. Thus, in the early days it will be a saturated green color and only after a while it will begin to darken, shades of burgundy will appear. Tomatoes, thanks to their thick skin, do not crack. They have a pleasant sweetish taste. Their flesh is juicy and very dense.

  • according to the description, Chernomor tomatoes are planted both in open ground and in greenhouses;
  • ripening occurs on the 120th day from the moment of disembarkation;
  • the bush is tall, reaching 1.5 m in height, depending on the conditions of detention. Garter support required;
  • fruits are round, slightly flattened, reaching 300 g.

The leaves of this variety are shaped like those of a potato. It has a simple inflorescence.

You need to plant seeds for seedlings 50-60 days before the expected planting, approximately in mid-to-late March.

Important! By the time of landing in the ground, it should warm up to 15-18 °.

For 1 sq. m. it is worth planting 3-4 bushes, no more, otherwise they will shade each other, begin to stretch and compete for nutrients. The variety needs pinching. You need to water with settled water as the soil dries up, avoiding stagnant moisture. In a hot summer, it is advisable to mulch the bushes.

Also, the disadvantages include the fact that in summer the taste of the fruit is practically no different from other varieties. And only in autumn their taste is saturated, it becomes very sweet.
