The Finish tomato variety was developed in Volgograd by the Vavilov Experimental Station. It is designed for landing in the open field. The variety belongs to medium-sized. The first tomatoes can be harvested 120–130 days after germination.
Bush characteristics:
- reaches a height of 60 to 75 cm;
- determinant, in other words, with short internodes (the distance between the hands is 12-18 centimeters);
- weak branching;
- the ovary is formed for the first time after the fifth leaf, later they appear after two leaves;
- powerful stem;
- leaf shape is standard for tomato;
- the color of the leaves is light green, the corrugation is poorly expressed;
- from below on the plant from three to four stepchildren.
Tomato Finish
The fruits of the Finish variety themselves have the following features:
- the weight of one fruit is from 80 to 100 g;
- their shape is round, somewhat flattened;
- when ripe, they are not bright red, but have a shade of orange;
- excellent taste characteristics;
- the pulp of a tomato is juicy;
- seeds are present in separate chambers, their number is from 1 to 6.
Growing Tomatoes Finish
Finish tomatoes are cultivated in seedlings. This stage continues for a month, then they are transferred to the ground. It is not worth pulling with this, after a month the seedlings will stretch into vines, in the future the yield will be noticeably smaller.
Growing
Before planting, the seeds are disinfected: they are kept for a quarter of an hour in a solution of potassium permanganate of a slightly pink color. The soil is also prepared, it should be:
- warm up in the oven for 10 minutes;
- scald with boiling water;
- then keep warm for 10 days for the development of beneficial microorganisms.
Next, the soil is laid in containers, seeds are placed in them to a depth of 1 cm. The distance between the rows is 4 cm, between the crops within the rows is -1 cm. Next, you need to maintain the temperature of + 25 ° C, highlight the seedlings after they appear.
In the last week of growing seedlings, the shoots are hardened, maintaining a colder temperature at night.
After a month, the seeds are transferred to open ground, but only if at this time frost is no longer possible in the area. In particular, in central Russia it is the end of May - beginning of June. It used to make sense to plant tomatoes only in a greenhouse.
In the greenhouse
It is advisable to alternate planting, while tomatoes can be placed in the beds after such predecessors as:
- carrot;
- cucumbers;
- bow.
At the same time, it is not recommended to place tomatoes in places where they grew before:
- eggplant;
- potatoes;
- pepper.
At the stage of growing tomatoes of this variety in the open field, the following recommendations should be followed:
- when planting seedlings in a hole, you should apply a preparation designed to strengthen the root system of seedlings, you can also dust it with ash;
- in the future, the soil is mulched with grass, which is previously finely chopped;
- overhead irrigation is allowed, but it is advisable to use drip irrigation;
- it is required to remove the lower leaves from the plants.

- fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption and for all common types of processing, including salting and whole-fruit canning;
