To assemble the structure, you need to weld 2 frames. The required dimensions of the front frame are 90x36 cm, and the rear frame is 60x36 cm. Channels with numbers from 5 to 9 are used. Self-made units made using such a profile are resistant to increased loads. If there are no increased requirements for the rigidity of the structure produced, it is allowed to use a softer profile.

Important! The connection between the two structures is made at an inclination of 45 degrees. If you take too thick metal for the frame, then the tractor will be heavy and uncomfortable.

The front frame has 2 square tubes. They will carry a stretcher. Several sites should be welded for the installation of other nodes. Their number depends on the general structure of the tractor.

A vertical metal rack is installed on the rear frame. It intensifies at the sides. A metal plate is attached to the back of the half-frame. It is necessary for hitching; without it, the tractor will not function normally with additional equipment.

Important! The plate and corners are made of metal, the thickness of which is not less than 12 mm.

The semi-frames are connected to each other using a gimbal mechanism. Cardan is a steel forks with a hinge. Details for the construction of the cardan mechanism can be taken from Kamaz. Correctly installed half-frames should move easily horizontally and vertically. From above, the frame and the joint are covered with a sheet of metal.

The steering column is bolted to the front frame plate. In order to turn the steering wheel in a homemade product exactly repeating the movements of the tractor, you need to insert the worm gear in the opposite position.

Engine

An engine is installed on this tractor, from any passenger car. The motor can be subframe mounted and secured with bolts.

Important! Additional cooling equipment must be installed on the engine. This is due to the fact that the motor from a passenger car cannot cope with a large load. Cooling installation is especially important in regions with very warm summers.

When installing the motor, the required gear ratio must be calculated. If the tractor speed is between 3 and 5 km / h, the speed should not be less than 1800 revolutions per minute. The pressure per share varies from 190 to 300 per square centimeter.

Various engines can be retrofitted, depending on the original idea and the tasks to be carried out with the mini-tractor.

Some mini tractors may have 1 or 2 cylinder diesel engines. In this case, a 4x4 car will require some increase in the gear ratio. Motors of the UD-2 and TsD-4 types are often used.They handle the workload perfectly and lend themselves to re-arrangement. MT-9 motors have a large margin of safety and durability.

Wheels

The frame of the mini-tractor is mounted on wheels. There are no general guidelines on what wheel sizes should be. For transportation of goods, you need to choose wheels with a diameter of 13 to 16. For field work, you should choose wheels with a diameter of 18 to 24.

If you choose undersized wheels, the mini-tractor will not work properly and fall into the ground. If you pick up wheels with a large size, then the driver will need to spend a lot of energy during field work.

Optional equipment

For high-quality and productive work, homemade 4x4 mini tractors must have a power take-off shaft. All other devices are attached to it, such as mowers, plows, headers and other equipment. The power take-off shaft can be "borrowed" from old tractor equipment.
