Planting roses

Plant care

It includes abundant watering, regular loosening of the soil for better air exchange, weed removal, disease prevention, fertilizing, pruning, shelter for the winter. It is important to shelter in a timely manner, not earlier and not later than the temperature drops below -7 ° C. To do this, the bush, previously cut to 30-40 cm, is earthed up, covered with spruce branches. A frame is built on top, which, in turn, is covered with a heater and a greenhouse film. When covered, vents are left for air circulation in the spring.

Pruning is done multiple times. In spring and autumn, diseased, damaged and dead shoots are removed. During the flowering period, short, moderate or long pruning is carried out, depending on whether abundant flowering or shaping is required. For better survival and wintering in the first year of life, peduncles are freed from buds as much as possible, leaving a maximum of 2 buds.

Note! The floribunda Tequila rose is propagated by cuttings of strong young shoots. Only with this method will the plant retain all the best qualities of the variety.
