1. Honey solution. A tablespoon of honey is diluted in 1 glass of water.
2. Beer.
3. Fermented fruit or berry compote.
4. Sweet beer. In 0.5 liters of clarified beer, 50 g of granulated sugar are bred.
5. Wine vinegar cocktail. To prepare it, mix 75 g of granulated sugar or honey with 70 ml of wine vinegar and 0.5 water.
6. Wine cocktail is a very aromatic bait. In a glass of white wine, dissolve 1 tbsp. l. honey and 30 ml of fruit syrup.
7. A simple bait is fermented jam mixed with water.

As you can see, the baits are quite diverse. But in order for insects to flock to the smell, there should be many holes for the spread of the aroma. To enhance the smell, it is recommended to lightly coat the outside of the trap with bait.

• l Simple mechanisms, inexpensive in cost, require bait placement inside the trap.
• l Traps, inside which UV lamps are installed. Insects fly into their light and bump into the lattice through which the current passes. Their cost depends on the manufacturer. So, traps produced in the Czech Republic, Sweden, Holland are of high quality, while they are more expensive than devices from domestic or Chinese manufacturers.

Simple store-bought traps also require bait. For these purposes, use:

1. A sweet syrup made with sugar or fruit juice.
2. Sweetened water.
3. Honey water.
4. Meat, better if it is spoiled, or sausage.

The simplest do-it-yourself wasp trap is made from a plastic bottle with a volume of 2 liters.An empty bottle is cut into 2 parts, while the upper part should be smaller. The cut goes approximately at the top of the label. The upper part should be inserted into the lower part with the neck down. It remains only to fasten the two parts together with tape and attach the handles for hanging from the wire. The bait is poured into such a trap. Wasps will fly into the trap, they will not be able to get out of it. All that remains is to check the traps in a timely manner and dispose of them as necessary. For a plot of 5 acres, it will be necessary to make up to 5 traps for them to be effective.

In order for the insects in the trap to die, you can add poisonous substances to the bait. The most popular remedy is boric acid. It is odorless, so insects simply won't feel it. There are other insecticides available at the store. They are inexpensive, but they last for a long time.

Another easy way to catch wasps is to use duct tape from wasps and flies. First, they find the places where the most insects are, and after that they hang sticky tape there. This is a very cheap way of catching insects, but not the most effective, since such traps are not attractive to wasps. The aesthetic appearance of such a tape is rather unpleasant. A bunch of stuck insects wiggle their paws and try to get out. Not a pleasant sight.
