Allocate zones where gazebos with barbecue facilities are placed and flower beds and lawns are laid out. To have such a lawn, not so much effort is needed: water it and cut it in time.
How can you mow the grass on the site
Once the lawn grass seeds have been sown, the immediate question is what tools are needed to mow the lawn. A simple oblique to make an even haircut will not work. For this, a large number of different tools have been released:
- lawn scissors;
- trimmer;
- lawn mowers.
Trimmer
It is a bar with handles, a special coil and a motor, which can be electric or gasoline. The reel has a spool on which a special line is wound or a knife is put on.
Trimmer
Electric trimmers are:
- Low-power. Comfortable, lightweight, but cannot handle tough, wet grass and weeds.
- Powerful. They come with a lower motor and an upper one. A special blade can be fitted to cut coarser grass. Models with a bottom motor do not cut wet grass.
- Rechargeable - lightweight, mobile. The disadvantages include the fact that the battery lasts for an hour.
A trimmer with a gasoline engine is heavier than an electric mower, but it differs from it in mobility. It has a forged shaft, shoulder straps and a powerful drive train. The device of the gearbox allows you to use in work not only fishing line, but also a knife and a toothed disc, which greatly improves the quality of processing the site. With a petrol mower, you can mow very impressive areas.
But there are still a few disadvantages:
- do not get a flat surface;
- when mowing for a long time, the operator will get tired.
Lawn mower
It is clear why this unit is so named - it is a technique for mowing grass on the lawn. Looks like a cart on wheels with special knives and a device for collecting cut grass. Lawn mowers come in different models:
- with a gasoline engine;
- powered by the mains;
- rechargeable;
- spindle.
As with trimmers, gasoline lawn mowers are mobile and can work far from home. But they are heavier, more difficult to use and also make a lot of noise.

Lawn mowers with an electric motor are lightweight, do not make a lot of noise, are easy to clean, and absolutely harmless to the environment. The disadvantages include the need for a nearby electrical network.
Rechargeable batteries are good for everyone: there is little noise, the lawn is smooth, it is easy to work, only the battery lasts for a certain time.
Spindle mowers are those without an engine. The device is designed as if the lawn is being cut with scissors. It turns out very nicely and neatly, but the process is very time consuming.

Gardeners are often confused as to whether it is possible to mow wet grass with an electric lawn mower. Unlike a hand scythe, mowing damp grass with a gasoline lawn mower is not worth it, and even an electric one is not at all. When working with an electric trimmer or a similar lawn mower, moisture can get into the electric drive or wires, a short circuit will result, and at best the tool will burn out, and at worst, the operator will suffer.

Do not work after a rainstorm and gasoline-powered equipment. The grass becomes heavier, leading to premature tool failure. First of all, due to overheating, the piston pair and other moving parts will break.

Young plants can be pulled out along with the roots, and in older grass the cut will be uneven, torn, which can lead to various diseases. Major equipment malfunctions
Any equipment breaks down at the most inopportune time, and lawn care equipment is no exception. The following breakdowns most often occur with gas mowers:
- Defective engine. It is necessary to check the fuel in the tank, the performance of the spark plugs, the cleanliness of the filters.
- Carburettor clogged. It is necessary to check the gasket between the carburetor and the engine, blow out the fuel hose.
- Muffler defective. Clean anti-spark grid.
- Damage to the gearbox. Check gears and bearings.
- Failure of the starter. Check the cord tension.
- Air filter problems. If the braid starts without a filter, then you need to change it to a new one.
The electric trimmer is simpler than its gasoline relative, therefore, it has fewer problems, but it still has:
- defective electrical cable;
- defective electrical outlet;
- the plug is damaged;
- there is a problem with the control stick;
- burned out the stator of the engine;
- there was a break in the contact connection.
To detect the above problems, you can use an indicator screwdriver and a multimeter, and in most cases, a soldering iron is needed to fix the breakdown.
If you follow the safety rules, including under no circumstances mowing wet grass with appliances powered by electricity, and refrain from mowing wet lawns with a gasoline mower, so as not to harm the plants, then the tools will last long enough.
