Characteristics and description of the tomato variety Paradise delight

The variety belongs to the indeterminate (tall) species that require tying and removal of stepchildren. The bush forms many leaves of a dark green color, which are designed to protect the fruits from an excess of light and heat in areas of our country with a hot climate. In greenhouses, bushes can grow up to 2 meters, in the open air they reach a height of one and a half meters.

The ripening period is highly dependent on the climate and is 105 - 125 days from the date of emergence. The variety has simple inflorescences, amicable flowering. Like all tomatoes, this variety is self-pollinating, but in greenhouses, in order to increase the number of ovaries, you will have to help a little with pollination.

This salad-type tomato produces large, rounded, slightly flattened fruits with waves around the stalk. The color of ripe tomatoes is red, and sometimes pink-red with tints, the weight of each tomato is 400 - 500 g.

Note! With proper intensive care, you can get fruits weighing up to 800 g!

The fruit has more than four seed chambers, while the seeds are small, in small quantities. The peel is dense, does not crack, due to this, tomatoes perfectly tolerate transportation and storage. The main advantage of the Paradise Delight variety is a wonderful sweet taste with a pleasant sourness, for which it got its attractive name. According to objective data, sugar contains 3.5%, 17-18 mg of vitamin C, and the acidity is 0.5%.

With proper care, the variety can yield up to 10 kg per square meter. Another indisputable advantage is resistance to diseases and harmful insects.

Care advice

Since this variety is not an early variety, it is recommended to grow it through seedlings. It is better to lay seeds in the ground in March, and if additional lighting is possible, in February. So it is advisable to sow early where it is possible to plant in open ground in May, without fear of return frosts, or having a greenhouse at hand.

Seedling tomato

The soil for tomatoes should have neutral acidity, the optimal amount of nutrients and moisture. Do not plant tomatoes where nightshade crops used to grow.

Attention! You should not rush to sowing too much, since overgrown seedlings do not take root well in a new place.

Even before planting, it is recommended to feed seedlings with complex mineral fertilizers or organic matter, observing the rules and regulations.

Tomato seedlings Heavenly Delight is growing, it makes sense to tie it up right there after planting.

Important! Tomato beds are categorically not recommended to thicken, therefore, no more than two bushes per square meter are planted, and they are staggered.

Before planting, the land must be fertilized with organic matter, it is better to apply it in the fall, but it is possible in the spring as well. It is also shown to apply phosphorus and potash fertilizers. Then they act in the following sequence:

  • The wells are watered with slightly warmed water and the seedlings are transplanted with a clod of earth.
  • If there are no trellises available, a stake is driven in next to each hole for tying.
  • After planting, the plants are watered again and sprinkled with compost on top to retain moisture and avoid the appearance of a soil crust.

Further care consists in:

  • Top dressing. They need at least four for the entire season, you need to alternate mineral fertilizers with organic ones. Foliar dressing with microelements, as well as spraying with drugs for the prevention of diseases, have proven themselves very well.
  • Bush formation. It is formed in one or, in extreme cases, in two trunks by removing the stepsons. For tall varieties, this procedure is necessary. You should also limit the growth of the tomato bush by pinching the crown above the third flower brush. The leaves located below the flower brushes should also be cut off so that the plantings are well shone by the sun's rays and ventilated.
  • Watering. Watering is not necessary very often, but abundantly, twice a week is enough.
  • Loosening. After each watering, the soil around the bush must be loosened, because the soil crust prevents oxygen from reaching the roots.

These rules are necessary for everyone, but the gardener, observing the growth and development of his tomatoes, will notice what other care measures they need.

For a true lover, the cultivation of this amazing variety cannot but bring pleasure. Subject to the rules, the Paradise Delight tomato will delight you with its yield and excellent taste.
