Growing instructions

Tomatoes of this variety are sown for seedlings in February - March. Cold resistance allows plants to be brought early to fresh air or cold greenhouses.

Seeds are sown to a depth of 1 cm, in separate glasses or common boxes at a distance of 2 - 3 cm.

Seedling care consists in regular watering with warm water under the root, picking in the phase of two true leaves in separate containers.

Important! For the prevention of a common tomato disease - black leg - it is recommended to alternate watering with clean water with watering with a pink solution of potassium permanganate. After watering, the soil is loosened, sprinkled with ash or clean sand.

Plants are planted in open ground when the threat of frost has passed. For 1 sq. square meter can accommodate 3 - 4 plants.

Tomato sprouts

Kubyshka tomatoes need regular watering with cold water, loosening the soil, and removing stepchildren. To prevent the bushes from falling to the ground under the weight of the fruit, they are tied to stakes.

During the period of flowering and pouring of fruits, the plants are fed with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. For the prevention of late blight, spraying the tops with garlic infusion is effective and safe for the crop (a glass of cloves is insisted in a bucket of water for two days).

The harvested fruit can be stored in a cool place for several weeks.

The advantages of the tomato variety Kubyshka include:

  • resistance to cold and disease;
  • high productivity;
  • great fruit taste.

The disadvantage, according to gardeners, is one - the need to remove unnecessary stepsons from the bush.

The egg capsule is an excellent choice for regions with unstable temperatures.
