In almost all corners of the world, tomatoes are valued for their excellent taste. Breeders breed many different varieties to improve their endurance and taste. Cornabel tomato f1 is a hybrid variety that can be grown both in the greenhouse and outdoors. It is resistant to different weather conditions. In Moscow and the middle lane, with a small number of sunny days and frequent rains, this variety can be grown in a greenhouse.

The plant is indeterminate - the height of the bush reaches 2 meters. And this means that it needs to be tied up so that the branches do not break under the load of fruits.

Advantages and disadvantages

The plant is characterized by positive properties:

  • excellent taste;
  • resistance to temperature extremes;
  • excellent transportability;
  • high productivity;
  • disease resistance;
  • the same fruit shape.

The disadvantage of the variety is the need to tie the plant to a support, as well as the high cost of seeds. Since the variety is hybrid, self-collected seeds are not suitable for re-cultivation, they lose their properties.

Characteristics and description of the tomato variety Cornabel

Seeds for seedlings are sown at the end of March. Before planting, they are soaked in a solution:

  • 1 l. water;
  • 1 tsp wood ash.

If the expiration date indicated on the package has passed, the tomatoes are suitable for growing for another 5-6 years from the indicated date.

If there are 1-2 true leaves, the plants dive. Seedlings are planted in open ground before they begin to bloom (this is the latest date), while the soil temperature should not be lower than 15 ° C. But before that, it is tempered for a week.

Picking tomatoes

Important! The plant should be planted slightly with a slope towards the ground. This stimulates the emergence of new roots for a stronger root system.

The tomato is stepson, leaving 2-3 branches. But if you form a bush into one branch, it will increase the yield and increase the size of the fruit. For this reason, weak flower sets can also be removed. The plant can be planted densely to reduce the hassle associated with bush formation, but then yield decreases.

Sufficient moisture gives the plant the strength to grow green mass, in which case the bush will not suffer under the weight of the fruit. This is achieved through regular watering (a couple of times a week), but in moderation. And the soil must be loosened at least once every 10 days to give oxygen access to the roots.

Note! Excess potassium damages the plant. Since the fruits are large enough, and the potassium further enhances their growth, the branches may not stand it.

The first fertilizers are applied 3 weeks after planting the seedlings at the fruiting site. Then they are fed 2 more times, every two weeks. Watered with an aqueous solution of fertilizers at the rate of 10 liters per 1 sq. m. To prepare the fertilizer, it must be diluted by 10 liters. water:

  • 5 gr. ammonium nitrate;
  • 15 gr. superphosphate;
  • 4 gr. potassium chloride.

And during fruiting, saltpeter (10 grams) and superphosphate (15 grams) are used for root feeding per 10 liters of water.

The variety is mid-season, after 60 days from the moment the seedlings are planted, fruits appear. Red tomatoes, weighing 200 grams each, juicy, fleshy, slightly elongated (resembles the shape of a pepper). During transportation, the fruits retain their excellent appearance. Tomatoes are consumed fresh, juices are prepared, and also dried.
