The homeland of the tomato is called South America or, more precisely, the Galapagos Islands. From there, in the 16th century, he began his journey across the planet. To date, no gardener can do without this plant. Breeders have already created thousands of varieties, in the Russian State Register alone, 2,500 of them are officially registered.

Since this is a southern plant, it has a thermophilic character. Many varieties have been developed that are resistant to temperature fluctuations and are suitable for cultivation in the zone of risky farming. Among them is a relatively old and reliable tomato Gruntovy Gribovsky 1180. Bred in 1950 at the All-Russian Institute of Selection and Seed Production of Vegetable Crops.

Harvest

The description and characteristics of the Gribovsky ground tomato variety clearly demonstrate that it is definitely worth spending time and effort on cultivating it.

Important! The variety is considered a salad variety, since when salted it does not retain its shape and becomes soft.

Growing conditions

To grow a good soil tomato, you need to sow seedlings no earlier than mid-March.

Growing conditions:

  • Good lighting. For active growth and fruit setting, the Gribovsky ground tomato must be planted in a sunny place.
  • Temperature conditions. The daily temperature for growing should be at least 20 ° C. At lower temperatures, plant growth and development stops. Nighttime temperatures less than 15 ° C for an adult plant lead to late blight disease.
  • Fertile loose soil. It is best planted in loamy soils with the addition of coconut in the planting hole.
  • Moderate soil moisture. Watering an adult plant should be done as the topsoil dries out. Gribovskie tomatoes are very hardy, so in dry summers they can be watered no more than twice a week.
  • Garter. This measure is necessary after the fruit is set, because otherwise, under the weight of the harvest, the bush falls apart, the fruits end up on the ground.
  • Treatment for diseases. Preventive spraying can be started two weeks after planting the seedlings in the ground.

Growing

Note! The mushroom variety is characterized by the same size of all fruits on the bush. All of them, as if by selection, are even, round and small.

Having studied the description of the Gribovsky tomatoes and observing agricultural techniques, you can grow an excellent harvest of delicious vegetables that are among the first to ripen, are not afraid of low temperatures and are not demanding to care for.
