If the garden plot is located in an area with an unfavorable climate, it is very difficult to choose a suitable variety of tomatoes for open ground: it must combine sufficient cold resistance, early maturity, good yield and resistance to temperature extremes and diseases. The requirements for tomatoes grown in the northern regions are very high, but they are matched by the tomato hybrid Tsarevna Swan F1.

Hybrid Princess Swan was bred by breeders of the NGO "Sady Rossii" in the Kurgan region and attributed to the series "Miracle Tomatoes". It includes the very best tomato hybrids that can be grown both indoors and outdoors, even in the coldest regions of the country.

Tomato Tsarevna Swan: characteristics and description of the variety

You can evaluate this hybrid according to the indicators below:

  • Cold resistance... A high cold hardiness index allows growing this hybrid outdoors even in areas with cold summers and unpredictable weather, for example, in the Urals.
  • Hive options... The hybrid belongs to the medium-sized determinants - the growth of the bush stops when it reaches a height of 1.5-1.7 m. Leafiness is average.
  • Ripening terms... The hybrid is considered early maturing - only 100 days pass from the moment the shoots appear before fruiting.
  • Fetal characteristics... Red-pink tomatoes are elongated, egg-shaped. The weight of one fruit is 150-240 g. The taste is pronounced, the pulp is fleshy, juicy, the fruits have a characteristic tomato aroma. Their purpose is universal: they are suitable for fresh consumption, for preservation, and for preparing juices and ketchups.
  • Yield... The Swan Princess is famous for its high yield - about 5 kg of tomatoes can be harvested from one plant with proper planting and care.
  • Disease resistance... The hybrid is characterized by increased resistance to the most dangerous crop diseases: dry spot, tobacco mosaic virus and bacteriosis.

Important! There are several hybrids of tomatoes that are very close in name, for example, Tsarina or Tsarevna. Tomatoes under these names are qualitatively different from the Swan Princess hybrid and are not its analogues.

Features of agricultural technology

Landing. You can plant the Swan Princess both in a greenhouse and in open ground. However, when grown indoors, the hybrid does not reveal its full potential. It is when planting in the open air that the fruits acquire their distinctive characteristics - taste and aroma.

The recommended planting scheme implies a staggered order, observing the distance between neighboring seedlings of 40-50 cm.Thus, no more than 3-4 bushes are planted per 1 m2.

Landing

Care. After a period of adaptation, the seedlings are formed. It is recommended to grow a hybrid in 1-2 stems, if desired, it is possible in 3. A garter to the trellis is required. The bushes are prone to the formation of fattening shoots, so the Swan Princess needs periodic pinching, and in greenhouse conditions, pruning the lower foliage.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Swan Princess hybrid

The variety has many advantages:

  • high resistance to cold, temperature changes, stress, disease;
  • taste characteristics of fruits and versatility of their use;
  • wide choice of landing site;
  • good keeping quality and transportability of fruits.

The disadvantage of tomato can be considered the need for pinching, but many gardeners, on the contrary, evaluate this as a plus and get additional planting material by rooting the cut off shoots.
