A new grape variety Zabava appeared from the crossing of forms that have firmly entered the grape collection in the 90s of the last century - Laura and Codryanka. They are remembered and loved by gardeners for the most balanced taste, dense crispy pulp and high yield. Zabava grapes, as a representative of the next generation, fully adopted the positive properties of the parent combination and acquired a number of advantages. The specimen has a dark blue berry color, for which it received its second name - Black Laura. The author of the variety V.V. Zagorulko.
Description of the grape variety Zabava
The specimen belongs to the group of table covering varieties, under the shelter it can withstand frosts down to - 19-21 ° С. The ripening period is very early - 110-115 days. Blooming in the southern regions occurs from May 27, more northern - June 6-16. It manages to mature in the conditions of the Moscow region, where the first harvest is held in the second decade of August.
Characteristics of bunches and berries
The clusters are moderately dense, with an average weight of 600 to 800 g, less often clusters over 1 kg are found. Possible pea berries and incomplete pollination of flowers. Berries are oval-ovate, weighing 7-10 g. The pulp is noticeably fleshy, the skin is of normal density. The bunches are transportable, keep well on the bush and in the basement. The taste is very sweet and memorable.

No pollinator required. The depth of the hole for planting bushes in the vineyard should be at least 0.5 m.The growth force of the bushes is above average, therefore it is advisable to observe the minimum distance between bushes in a row of 1.5 m, between rows - 1.8 m, the required height of the trellis for this varieties 1.7 m.

Disadvantages:
- tendency to overload with bunches, due to which winegrowers need to be attentive to the rationing of bunches and in no case skip this operation;
- average resistance to fungal diseases at the level of 3-3.5 points on a five-point scale. During the season, the variety requires 3-4 treatments against mildew and oidium;
- in conditions of unfavorable meteorological phenomena (return frosts, prolonged cool spring), the variety responds well to feeding with a growth stimulant Potassium Humate + 7 iodine from the August company; chlorosis is extremely rare. Foliar dressing with this preparation ensures better berry setting.
HOM, Abiga Peak, Cabrio Top are used as drugs against mildew. Tiovit Jet, Falcon are highly effective against oidium.
