How to grow the early Gourmet grape variety

  1. Harvesting cuttings. In the spring - before the buds swell - cut off shoots 30 cm long. During the day they are soaked in a solution of honey and water. After drying, the tips are dipped in paraffin 6 cm. To harden the plants, they are kept alternately for 10 days in the shade and in the sun.
  2. Vineyard laying. Grapes do not tolerate transplanting well, so it is important to choose a suitable site. Preferably an open, sunny location inaccessible to the north wind. For example, you can plant grapes next to a fence or other bushes, the main thing is to maintain a distance of 2 m. Opposite the seedlings, they put a partition painted black. It gives off extra heat and protects against drafts.
  3. Landing in the ground. Dig holes with a diameter of 60 cm, cover the bottom by 20 cm with a mixture of earth, humus and drainage, apply fertilizer. To do this, mix 3 kg of wood ash, 300 g of potash fertilizer and 300 g of suphosphate. A seedling is placed in the recess. A layer of soil is poured and tamped on top. Then 10 liters of water are poured, the earth is loosened. Ditches are made to drain excess fluid. On both sides of the bush, channels 1 m deep are dug at a distance of 60 cm.
  4. Planting scheme and depth. About 2 meters are left between the rows, between the bushes - 1.5-2 m. It is permissible to plant strawberries or vegetables between the rows. For example, parsley will protect grape roots from disease.

The deepening of cuttings depends on the soil:

  • 45 cm in clay and black soil.
  • 60 cm in sandy soil.

Important! Healthy seedlings are white. A dark shade indicates the unsuitability of the material.

How to water and fertilize grapes

The roots of the grapes reach 14 m, so the plant is able to withstand drought. But proper watering is a guarantee of a good harvest. In the spring, water every week with 20 liters of warm water per bush. From the middle of summer, irrigation stops so that there is more sugar in the berries.

Important! During flowering, the grapes are not watered - flowers may crumble.
