Grape Academic

Grapes of the Akademik Avidzba variety are recommended to be consumed fresh. In addition, the berries are used to make grape juice and rosé wines.

The rind is thin, barely perceptible during consumption. This affects the color of the resulting juice, which is dark in color.

On a note! Although the rind is thin, it is very tough. Due to this, the berries retain their taste and appearance for a long time, and can be transported.

The pulp has a rich taste and aroma, there is a pleasant aftertaste with hints of cherry and nutmeg. It contains a high concentration of ascorbic acid, vitamin P and pectins. Berries have healing properties, they strengthen the walls of blood vessels and lower the concentration of harmful cholesterol in the body.

Agrotechnics

Compliance with all planting and grooming recommendations will allow you to achieve good results.

  • The vineyard should be flat. It is recommended to give preference to the southeastern and southern slopes, which are well lit by the sun's rays.
  • It is recommended to prepare the ground for the upcoming planting in the fall, because during the winter the soil in the pit should be compacted.
  • The depth of the pit should not exceed 0.5-0.6 m, due to the fact that in the first years after planting, the rhizome of the plant will be located at a shallow depth.
  • When planting a crop in sandy soils, it is necessary to lay clay on the bottom to create a water-resistant barrier, and pour fertile and light soil on top.
  • If space is allocated in loamy soil, drainage must be created using small stones or sand. This will protect the root system from excess moisture.
  • If the soil has not been enriched with humus, manure must be added to it.
  • After preliminary preparation, the pit should be watered abundantly so that the earth is compacted.

Important! In the first years of life, the plant needs abundant watering and regular loosening. In autumn, the grapes must be covered, otherwise the bush will be lost.
