Strobi is a unique drug of its kind. A pesticide of local systemic action covers a wide area of application and simultaneously performs three functions:

  • protective;
  • medical;
  • eradicating.

Composition and properties of the product

The chemical belongs to the class of strobirulins. Its main component is kresoxyl-methyl in an amount of 500 g / kg. Strobirulin is a natural antibiotic produced by microorganisms. This fungicide is its biologically active analogue.

The strobi preparation is presented in the form of light brown granules. The active ingredient, kresoxyl-methyl, has the following characteristics:

  • melting point - 97.2-101.7 ° C;
  • the molecular weight is 313.4 a. eat.;
  • solubility in water - 0.002 g / l at 20 ° C;
  • weak smell of sulfur;
  • toxicity class - 3.

The principle of action of the fungicide is to suppress cellular respiration of the fungus and its subsequent death. The use of kresoxyl-methyl provides a long-term effect, suppression of the formation of spores and a decrease in the spread of the disease occurs.

Fungicide

Purpose of the fungicide

Strobi has been synthesized to combat fungal diseases of fruit crops: grapes, vegetables, ornamental plants. In specific cases, he fights with such diseases:

  • fruit plants - scab, powdery mildew, alternaria;
  • currants, gooseberries - anthracose, American powdery mildew;
  • grapes - mildew, oidium;
  • cucumbers, zucchini, onions - powdery mildew, peronosporosis;
  • tomatoes, peppers, eggplants - powdery mildew, late blight;
  • roses, chrysanthemums and bulbous flowers - powdery mildew, rust, gray mold.

The analogs of strobe are boxwood and allegro. Their use is justified only on an industrial scale.

Grape processing

The most common grape diseases are mildew and oidium. Most fungicides affect only one type of disease. Strobi for grapes is a complex quasi-systemic fungicide that fights several plant diseases at the same time.

Dosage

The drug is produced in a package of 2 g. Strobes can be used both for prevention and for treatment. For preventive measures, the consumption rate will be 2 g per 10 liters of water. In case of treatment, the amount is almost doubled (2 g per 6 l of water).

Grape processing

Important!Opened packaging cannot be stored.

Strobi (fungicide): instructions for use for grapes

  • the powder is dissolved in 1 liter of water and a mother liquor is obtained;
  • the sprayer tank is filled to half the required volume;
  • stirring continuously, the finished solution is poured;
  • water is added to the required volume;
  • close the sprayer and shake vigorously several times;
  • you can start spraying the plants.

Important!The prepared mixture should be used within 2-3 hours after preparation.

Spraying procedure

The processing of strobi grapes should be started in early spring. After the vine is opened and laid on the trellis, you can start spraying. Not only the stem is processed, but also the root part within a radius of 1 meter. Work can be started when the ambient temperature has reached + 1 ° C.

Additional Information!The chemical is not hazardous to groundwater because it decomposes before reaching deep soil layers. When released into water, kresoxyl-methyl decomposes to acid.

The second stage of treatment starts at the 4-5 leaf phase. It is enough to process only the upper part of the sheet. The quasi-systemic action allows the drug to be distributed over the entire surface due to diffusion.

Treatment is possible throughout the entire growing season. If necessary, the next processing can be performed after 10 days. This measure is necessary if the leaves are severely affected by the fungus.

Important!The maximum number of treatments per season is 3.

Correct fight against fungus

Adhering to all the rules for treating strobi fungicide, it will not be possible to completely cure the affected plant. If last season was treated 3 times, the amount of damage will be reduced by 50-75%. The mycelium of the mushrooms is not completely destroyed. Decomposition of the fungicide occurs over time. After that, the pathogens of the fungi that survived begin to develop and multiply again. To destroy young mushrooms, after 1 week, you need to apply a fungicide of a different class in minimal doses. It can be a quadris, convertible, tiovit jet, etc.

Another important rule in the fight against fungal diseases is the preparation of the harvesting soil. This is the most optimal time for the introduction of a harmful fungus. At this stage, additional plant protection is required. By this time, useful mushrooms have already given spores and the drug will not harm them in any way, but will destroy pathogens.

Correct fight against fungus

Note!The most effective way to apply the strobe fungicide is by spraying. The drug has a low evaporation rate. This property promotes the formation of a gas envelope around the plant and provides a long lasting effect.

Benefits of the drug

In the fight against fungal diseases, a huge amount of pesticides has been synthesized - quadris, ridomil gold, chorus. They have properties similar to the strobe fungicide, but are inferior in many respects:

  • Low toxicity and safety for bees, animals and humans. This property allows processing in any growing season, including during the flowering of grapes.
  • Spraying on wet foliage and grass. Resistant to atmospheric precipitation.
  • Versatility. The drug destroys mycelium, disinfects the soil, treats affected plants from most fungal diseases.
  • High profitability. The drug has a good ratio of effectiveness and price.
  • Independent of ambient temperature. You can start work at a temperature of + 1 ° C.

Compatibility with other drugs

To save time on processing, gardeners often use tank mixtures. They include fungicides, insecticides, growth stimulants and fertilizers. Strobi is compatible with almost all of the listed components.

Strobi composes well with fungicides quadris, ridomil gold, topaz, etc. It is also used with insecticides. Instructions for use for grapes of a mixture of strobi preparation:

  • in 3 liters of water at a temperature of 20-22 ° C, 2 g of the strobe fungicide is dissolved;
  • separately in the same volume of liquid an ampoule of neoron insecticide (125 ml) is stirred.
  • stimulants Epin or Zircon (1 ml) are added to 2 liters of water;
  • all three components are combined, and the volume is brought to 10 liters of water.

Additional Information! Strobi is resistant to washing off by rain, which cannot be said about other drugs, therefore an adhesive or soap solution can be added to the mixture.

Such a mixture in the complex will increase the efficiency of protecting the vineyard from diseases and pests, as well as contribute to accelerated growth, increased immunity and productivity.

But you should always remember that not all components are compatible, and they must be introduced in a strict sequence:

  • first of all, you need to dilute powder preparations, they dissolve in water and are introduced into the solution;
  • the second are liquid pesticides or components in the form of an emulsion;
  • the final will be growth stimulants or fertilizers.

Important!It is always necessary to maintain the proportions of the preparations, their violation can lead to even greater harm to the plant.

Invalid connections

Improper drug layout can lead to mixture stratification and loss of therapeutic functions. Strobe fungicide cannot be used in the following connections:

  • copper-containing preparations (including copper sulfate, Bordeaux mixture);
  • fertilizers containing copper, zinc and iron.

The modern fungicide strobi opens up new perspectives in the fight against harmful fungi. Due to its mechanism of action and safety, it is among the top most demanded drugs for the treatment and prevention of grape diseases.
