The fruits ripen in mid-July. Berries of medium and above average size, weighing about 4-5 grams. They are rounded, dark red in color at final maturity. The juice has no color, and the bone is easily separated from the pulp. The fruit is of medium density, juicy, sour-sweet taste.

The trunk of the tree is smooth, dark brown in color. The leaves are glossy, small in size, oval in shape. Blooms in inflorescences of 3-4 small flowers, due to this arrangement, the fruits are formed along the entire length of the branches. The flowers do not exceed 2.5 cm in diameter, they are saucer-shaped. During the flowering period and with heavy rainfall, cherries are prone to diseases, as a result of which the branches of the weakening of the entire tree can die off.

Note! Cherry Nord is old for universal use, its fruits are consumed fresh and compotes are made.

Cherry grows actively in well-lit areas. Before planting a seedling, you need to prepare the soil. In the dug hole, under the dimensions of the root, put a layer of drainage from crushed limestone 7-10 cm. Fertilizer is applied to the planting hole:

  • 100 g potassium;
  • 350 gr. superphosphate;
  • 2-3 buckets of humus.

After such feeding, it is not necessary to fertilize the tree for 2-3 years.

A cherry tree is watered so that the ground is moistened only to a depth of 7-12 cm. In the first month of planting, it is watered 1-2 times a week, 10 liters per tree. During severe drought, watering should be done 2-3 times a week. Around the tree, you need to shallowly loosen the soil, you can mulch the trunk circle.

Important! A tree should not be planted where groundwater comes close to the surface, this harms the root system.

This cherry variety must be pruned in the spring. It is important to remove dry, damaged branches, it is also necessary to thin out and shape the crown.

The tree itself begins to bear fruit the next year after planting the seedling. And already for 4-5 years it gives a full harvest. From one tree, you can collect up to 8 kg during such a growth period, and at the age of 10 years - up to 20 kg of fruits.

Cherries can be propagated by cuttings. To do this, at the end of July, several young branches of 12 cm are cut from the south side.Each of them should have at least 4 leaves. The branches are soaked in water for a while (4 hours), then planted in a container with soil. Germinate in a warm, dimly lit place. From above, to speed up the rooting process, you can cover with foil. For the winter, the stalk can be dug in the garden, and in the spring it can be transplanted to a permanent place.

Thus, having planted a cherry of this variety on a personal plot, you can count on a harvest regardless of the vagaries of the weather.
