Apple trees are grown in garden plots not only for their tasty and juicy fruits. These fruit trees serve as protective plantations from strong winds for other cultivated plants that are afraid of drafts. In addition, tall neat apple trees during the flowering or ripening period of apples look very beautiful, decorating the garden plot with their appearance.

Breeders continue to develop new varieties of these fruit trees, zoned for different climatic conditions, as well as with high frost resistance and disease resistance. Also, new apple trees are distinguished by high yield, excellent taste and marketability of the harvested apples.

Despite the variety of new varieties, the Pink Naliv apple tree has enjoyed a well-deserved popularity among gardeners for decades; this fruit tree is found in many garden plots. Why is the demand for seedlings of this variety not decreasing, and why does it attract summer residents so much?

The history of the creation of the variety

Although another variety of apples - White Naliv, is much more famous and popular, but Pink Naliv (or as it is popularly called - "robin") is in no way inferior in its qualities.

Apple Tree Pink Pour

Unfortunately, who exactly was the creator of this apple tree is unknown. Pink Naliv has been cultivated in the gardens of our country for so long that although scientists argue - where the first seedlings of a new variety of this fruit tree were bred, none of the versions has concrete evidence. Therefore, it is generally accepted that the Pink Naliv tree is the fruit of folk selection.

Among the many advantages of this variety are undemanding to the soil, high yield, pleasant taste of ripe apples, early maturity. Probably, due to their excellent characteristics, the Pink Bulk apple trees are still one of the most common fruit trees in most regions of our country.

Characteristics and description of the apple tree Pink Pour

This fruit tree belongs to the summer varieties - and if the summer was hot, then ripe fruits are harvested in the last decade of July, and in cool seasons the first ripe fruits will appear on the branches in the first decade of August.

This fruit tree can reach 2.5-3 m in height, being medium in size relative to some other varieties of apple trees. A powerful stem and a pyramidal shape of the crown are the main differences between young trees of the Pink Naliva variety from other apple trees. However, in the older Pink Bulg, the branches descend, making an angle of 90 со with the trunk, as a result, the crown becomes more rounded, wide and pyramidal.

Apple tree Pink Pouring blooms

The crown is dense, ripening apples are evenly distributed on strong branches. Young branches grow almost parallel to the ground, their thickness is medium, the color of the bark is brown with a reddish sheen.

The foliage is ovoid, slightly elongated towards the end. The internodes are smaller than average.

A distinctive feature of this variety is its high resistance to frost, the tree tolerates frosts well down to -28-34⸰С.

Ripe fruits of the Pink Bulb are large in size, rounded, slightly flattened, weighing up to 140-150 g. Peel is of medium density, with a slight waxy bloom, pinkish in color (many of the color of a ripe apple is compared to the color of rose petals). The pulp is dense, white with a pink color, as if spilled over the inner surface of the fruit.Taste - pleasant, sweet-sour apples of the Pink Bulk are a dessert variety of summer apple trees.

Important! On the garden plots, the Red Naliv apple tree is found, which is often confused with the Pink Naliv. But these are two different varieties, which can be distinguished by the size and color of apples - the Red Naliv has smaller fruits (no more than 100 g in weight), and the color of the skin is red.

Ripe apples are used fresh, and also (due to the large amount of peptides in their composition) used for canning: to prepare jams and preserves, confitures, jellies. Fresh apples make good juice.

The first fruits on this apple tree appear 5 seasons after planting the seedlings. But if a young tree is planted in compliance with all the rules, and the care of this type of apple tree is also observed, it can bloom earlier. The main thing is to observe the watering regime.

Jam from pink filling

The peak yield occurs at the age of 15-20 years - up to 75-80 kg of ripe apples can be harvested from a tree. Yield almost does not decrease for 30-35 years, then the tree grows old and begins to bear fruit worse. The general lifespan of Pink Bulk is up to 70 years.

Agrotechnics

Despite the fact that the tree grows well on any type of soil, it is better to grow this apple tree on sandy loam, loamy soils that allow moisture and oxygen to pass through well. The place chosen for planting seedlings should be well lit by sunlight during the day. Young trees are planted in the spring - from March to May.

The diameter of the planting hole should be at least 0.5 m, its depth - 0.5-0.6 m.The distance between the seedlings should be at least 3.5 m.

Harvest

Caring for the planted trees consists in regular watering, loosening the tree-trunk circle, removing weeds and applying top dressing. During the season, at least 4 dressings are applied, alternating organic matter and mineral fertilizers.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

It is simple to describe the advantages of this variety:

  • excellent taste of ripe apples;
  • high productivity;
  • cold resistance - above average;
  • good resistance to most diseases;
  • can grow on any type of soil.

The disadvantages of the variety include the fact that ripe fruits do not stick to the tree, they crumble and are damaged when dropped. Therefore, they must be collected immediately. However, the harvested harvest of unripe apples, although it ripens at home, is not stored for a long time (no more than a month), it loses its presentation and taste.
