Cucumbers are grown almost all over the world. Breeders are constantly working on creating new varieties, trying to improve their properties, make them more prolific and unpretentious.

Description and characteristics of the variety

Cucumbers Parade is a mid-season variety with excellent taste. The plant has male and female flowers, therefore bees or other insects are needed for pollination.

The advantages of the variety:

  • resistance to various diseases;
  • outgrowing, the fruits do not turn yellow for a long time;
  • transportability;
  • high productivity.

Disadvantages:

  • the use of cucumbers is recommended only fresh;
  • the need for feeding.

Appearance

Fruits are cylindrical, 8-11 cm long. Cucumber weight 90-100 gr. from one square. m can be collected up to 10 kg. The entire peel of varietal greens is covered with sparse tubercles. When cross-sectioned, the fetus looks triangular. Cucumber Parade with regular watering has no bitterness.

Growing features

You can sow seeds for seedlings in early March. Seeds for sowing must be carefully selected, separating unsuitable ones. To do this, they are poured with salty warm water, weak seeds float up - they should be thrown away immediately. Those grains that remain at the bottom of the container can be planted in the ground.

Note! The colored coat on the grains indicates that they have been processed with nutrients to promote growth. They do not require any special training.

If the manufacturer did not carry out such treatment, the seeds of the cucumber should be soaked overnight in a growth stimulant or in aloe juice.

A little rotted humus is added to the soil for seedlings. Having deepened the seeds by 1 cm, pour warm water on top. When 2-3 adult leaves appear, the plant can be planted in the ground. But before that, within a week, the seedling must be hardened: every day, take it out into the street or onto the balcony, first for 5 minutes, then for 7 minutes, and gradually bring the time to 3 hours.

It is recommended to plant seeds in open ground at the end of April, when the ground warms up enough. You can cover with foil at night until they gain strength.

Important! It is worth planting plants at a distance of at least 25-30 cm from each other.

Parade cucumbers have medium-length stems. They can be tied to a trellis to prevent rotting and shading of the stems.

Once every 10 days, the beds must be carefully weeded. You should not plant a crop in one place for more than 3 seasons in a row, this attracts pests and provokes diseases.

Cucumbers grow quickly, therefore, it is necessary to regularly fertilize:

  • during the growth period, nitrogen fertilizing is needed;
  • potash is added to accelerate the formation of stems.
  • during the fruiting period, it is important to apply phosphate fertilizers.

An excellent result is obtained by alternating organic fertilizers (humus, ash) and mineral fertilizers. For the whole season, you need to fertilize the ridges at least 3 times.

Harvesting

For cucumber, drip irrigation is used. Such watering allows only the roots of the plant to be saturated with moisture, preventing leaf burns.

The cucumber begins to bear fruit in 35-54 days from the beginning of the appearance of the first shoots. It is characterized by amicable fruiting, it is important to collect the greens on time, preferably in the morning, when the fruits are filled with moisture as much as possible.

Diseases and pests

The variety is resistant to powdery mildew, gray mold. In autumn, when the stems stop bearing fruit and dry out, they need to be burned. Thus, all harmful bacteria will die.

To get rid of insect larvae and spores of pathogenic fungi, just before frost it is worth digging up the soil on a shovel bayonet. During the winter, it will freeze, the pests will die.

Etyo cucumbers are used both for greenhouse cultivation and for planting in open ground.
