Zucchini is a special kind of zucchini, they have small green fruits that ripen quite quickly and are acceptable for consumption raw. They are quite popular among gardeners. One of these varieties is Skvorushka zucchini.

Zucchini Skvorushka has a number of significant characteristics:

  • Early ripeness. You can enjoy the fruits already 50 days after the first shoots appear.
  • Compactness. Small neat fruits.
  • The bushes have female inflorescences. Due to this, the plant forms many ovaries.
  • Fruits are cylindrical in shape, slightly ribbed to the touch.
  • Very thin peel of a dark green color with whitish specks.
  • The fruits of this variety reach a maximum size of 25 cm.
  • Fruit weight from 500 g to 1200 g.
  • Very juicy white flesh.

Important! Despite its transportability, Skvorushka zucchini does not differ in long shelf life. The reason is a rather thin peel. The fruits must be eaten with a short break after plucking from the bush.

The fruits of zucchini, not exceeding 15 cm in length and 200 g in weight, will be quite juicy and delicate in taste in their raw state. To enjoy this amazing taste, it is enough to cut them off in time.

Growing recommendations

The variety can be planted in a summer cottage in open ground:

  • seeds;
  • seedlings.

It is recommended to prepare seedlings for planting in early April, and it is advisable to sow varietal seeds on the site in the first days of June. Seeds must be prepared in advance:

  • put dense seeds in a generously moistened gauze cloth and leave to swell for 2-4 hours;
  • while the seeds are in gauze, they must be abundantly moistened as they dry;
  • after the time has elapsed, remove the seeds carefully and start planting.

Recommendations for planting seeds:

  1. In the beds prepared in advance, make holes at a distance of 60 cm.
  2. Put at least 3 seeds in the holes.
  3. Cover the seeds with earth and moisten the soil.
  4. When all seeds germinate, only one sprout must be left in the hole, and the rest must be transplanted.

It is recommended to take care of the soil before planting. It absolutely should not be sour. If the acidity of the soil in the area is high, it should be fertilized with lime. Also, it is desirable to plant this variety on the sunny side.

Harvest

Important! It is recommended to make beds in the area where potatoes, tomatoes or onions grew last season.

Be sure to enrich the soil with organic and mineral fertilizers a couple of months before planting.

The zucchini variety Skvorushka, despite its simplicity in care, as well as good drought tolerance, needs regular watering, periodic loosening and hilling. It is important not to overdo it and not overmoisten the soil. It is enough to water the planting once every 10 days. Average consumption is 10 liters of water per square meter. If it is rainy weather, watering should be stopped until the soil dries up.
