Climings are a group of climbing roses that arose as a result of a kidney mutation (somatic changes in the tissues of the kidney). Hybrid shrubs look powerful, flowering a little later than other subgroups of climbing roses. Inflorescences, sparsely located on the branches, have a diameter of 4-10 cm.

Climings are suitable for growing in the southern regions of Russia. If you plant the bushes in the northern regions, they may not survive the severe winter frosts or grow and bloom poorly in the summer, against which the rose stops trailing.

Distinctive features of claimings:

  • shoot growth activity;
  • the presence of large inflorescences.

The bushes are used in the design of garden arches and pergolas. In addition, they can be used to effectively decorate vertical surfaces.

Important! Most varieties of klimings do not tolerate frost and shaded areas poorly.

Features of planting and crop care

For planting a bush, it is worth choosing a well-lit area with nutrient soil. The planting pit should be no more than 60 cm deep. Boarding is done early in the morning or in the evening.

Important! Before planting, it is important to soak a young bush in water for a day, to which indoleacetic acid or another substance was previously added that helps to form the root system. These drugs include Heteroauxin and Kornevin.

Features of the care of klimings:

  • It is necessary to moisten the soil around young bushes systematically. Starting from 2 years after planting the plant, the number of waterings is significantly reduced.
  • Top dressing is applied 12 months after planting the bush. For one season, it is required to make 4-6 dressings. A small portion of rotted cow dung is suitable for fertilization.
  • When pruning roses, it is important to pay attention to the length of the branches so that it matches the height of the bush. Extra branches are removed using special scissors.

Caring for the plant is simple, but it is very important to carry it out systematically.

Diseases and pests

Claiming roses are not susceptible to ailments or pests. However, improper watering or insufficient fertilization can lead to disease. Pests that harm the plant (rose aphids and spider mites) can be destroyed with insecticides.
