The history of the creation of the rose variety Rosita Wendella

Rose Vendela (sometimes mistakenly called Vendetta) was bred by breeders from the Netherlands, but later its seedlings were brought to Ecuador, where local experts started breeding rose Rosita Vendella for further sale not only in the country, but also for export to other countries of the world ...

For a long time, it was Ecuador that was the main exporter of Wendella rose seedlings, but recently nurseries in many countries of the world have also begun to breed this variety for further sale among flower growers in different regions.

Characteristics and description of the variety

The cultivar has several subspecies, including the Vendela blue (blue) rose, as well as a subspecies with creamy buds.

The bushes of this flowering perennial are quite compact - with a height of erect shoots up to 0.9-1.1 m, the diameter of the plant does not exceed 0.8 m. The shoots are powerful enough, the number of thorns on them is minimal, and this is another advantage of this "queen of flowers" , since as a result, the bushes are much easier to care for.

Note! Depending on the conditions in which this perennial grows, as well as on exposure to sunlight, the color of the petals of the blossoming buds can vary from ivory to snow-white.

The extreme petals on the reverse side have a characteristic greenish tone, the blossoming buds themselves have a regular goblet shape. On the shoots, buds bloom mainly singly. The flower color is persistent, not lost even after cutting. In a container with water, cut flowers can stand up to 12-14 days.

The cultivar has several subspecies, including the Vendela blue rose (blue)

Blooming on the bushes, the buds fade within 2.5-3 weeks. The fragrance is delicate and unobtrusive, which is quite consistent with the general appearance of delicate buds. Blooming bushes - repeated.

Important! The variety has below average resistance to fungal diseases and rains, so do not forget about the preventive treatment of these perennial shrubs against the corresponding diseases during the season.

Rosa Vendetta: agricultural engineering

The planting of purchased seedlings of this variety is carried out in well-lit areas, protected from gusts of cold wind. The soil should be neutral, loose, allowing moisture and air to pass through to the perennial roots. A drainage layer must be laid at the bottom of the planting hole so that moisture can better escape after watering.

The best time for planting rose bushes is the second decade of May, when warm weather sets in and the soil warms up well. Further caring for plants does not differ from caring for other varieties of roses.
